But that's what happened in Clara (Leticia Dolera) and Koldo's (Diego Martin) wedding.
It all started with an ordinary day ...
They were in the church for a holy matrimony ...
Then they continued to go to the reception building to have a party!
That's all just normal ...
But then, something happened.
Koldo's uncle suddenly fell from a balcony. He laid on the floor motionless.
Everybody's screaming, and confused, what's going on?
Then the scary things happened. His uncle came back alive, and bit his wife neck ... He was standing and looked like a zombie.
Something more scary happened afterwards.
A group of zombies suddenly jumped and entered the hall.
Everybody's screaming more loudly, and scattered everywhere.
The zombies started to attack the guests, and bit a lot of people. They started to infect others.
It's madness!!
In this madness, Koldo and Clara got separated. Koldo with his cousin, Adrian (Alex Monner); a little girl, a professional cameraman that was hired to record the wedding. and a copyright investigator. All trapped in a kitchen, and they needed to find an exit soon, because the zombies were already occupied the entrance.
Meanwhile, Clara was trapped in the monitoring room with a priest. The priest thought this chaos was too soon, and talking about the Genesis.
Koldo didn't want to leave Clara, and so did Clara, so they're trying to find a way to meet with each other. But how ... ? The building complex was full with zombies.
Then, how could this lovely wedding day turned into a chaos?
It all started from Koldo's uncle, who was bitten by a dog from a clinic ...
...
If you haven't watched the previous installment, then perhaps, you're quite confused with what's going on.
REC series are Spanish movies.
I haven't watched REC, but I've already watched Quarantine, the US adaption of REC. It has the same story, where it started from the dog which was got infected by something and started to infect others. The infected people would eventually died, and turned themselves into a zombie. So Koldo's uncle referred to the same dog with this dog.
Then came REC 2, which was the continuity of REC ... but the director decided to have a twist. They decided to put some religious element in it. The zombie didn't get infected because of a virus or something, but because of demon possession. From here ... my mood of watching this REC 2 dropped to the lowest level. How could they twist this genre into something like this???
All REC and REC 2 were filmed using a hand held camera.
Now come REC 3. I was really excited in watching this movie, because for one reason ... ZOMBIE! First they're using the hand held camera method, but it made me dizzy. Too shaky! Then they decided to change with the professional video camera. Then moved to hand held camera again, and then using the professional video camera until the end of the movie. Okay, I'm fine with that.
They're using the story of 'the dog from the clinic' from REC as the connector.
But then they mixed this zombie genre with again ... the religious thing, just like REC 2.
Not only that, the movie insert some melodrama moment that made me and my friends laughed. What's going on?
Okay, I admit that the movie still gave you some basic shocking elements, like when the zombie suddenly appeared and grabbed one of the survivor ...
Well, if you really want to see a zombie movie, better you just watched Quarantine. I haven't watched REC, but my friend said it's the same with Quarantine, but more scary. So I think I'm going to watch REC later ;)
