Synopsis/Review: Seeking Justice

seeking-justice-movie-poster
The movie started with a guy being interviewed than got scared because of what he said. Then when he just went out from the parking lot (which is located at the top of the building), a car hit him, and push his car so it fell from the top.

Any idea what kind of movie is this? I didn't know what kind of movie is this, also didn't watch the trailer. So, it's really a surprise movie for me :)

Will (Nicholas Cage) is an English teacher in a school, while his wife, Laura  (January Jones) is a musician - cellist. They have just celebrated their first anniversary. But one night, after Laura finished her music practice, a guy assaulted her.

Where is Will? He's playing chess (the place is like chess community centre, where the players need to turn-off their phones), with his fellow teacher, Jimmy (Harold Perrineau). He doesn't know anything about what has happened to his wife until he went out from that place and turn-on the phone.

Watching her wife lying in a bed in a hospital, with bruises, made him devastating.

Sitting in a waiting room, a man (Simon - Guy Pearce) came to him, and said something about what happened with his wife, and that he knows the guy who did it. Then he goes on saying that he has an organization, where the members are seeking justice with the villain, the rapist, the paedophiles. They want to bring justice with their own way, rather than using a normal way which can take months and perhaps the villain will only get a few months in prison. So he asked Will whether he agrees that he will take care that criminal or not. But there's a catch! In the future, when Simon needs a 'help', Will needs to help him.

Will Will agree with Simon? Or will he not?

Well, this is where the story starts. Along the way, we can understand ...

how this organization takes care the criminal ...

what kind of help that Simon needs in the future ...

The movie is actually an okay movie, with the idea of making the 'seeking justice' organization, but there are some twists in the middle of the movie that you can't think of.

I give this movie: 7/10
