Synopsis/Review: Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

The movie started with the penguins and the monkeys going to Monaco with their super jet to gamble (and a lot of gold and diamond too!!) and left Alex (Ben Stiller), Marty (Chris Rock), Melman (David Schwimmer), and Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith) in Africa.

Rather than waiting for the penguin and the monkeys to pick them up and going back to New York, Alex decided that they should go and meet the penguins in Monaco. So Alex with Arty, Melman, and Gloria swim (yes ... swim!! Haha) to Monaco.

After they found the casino, they wanted to enter the casino from the window ceiling (well after they turn-off the light of course :D). But then, they started to argue, who's the right person to go down to the casino and meet the penguins (just to let you know, that they are standing on the window ceiling) First Alex, then Marty ... Melman ... and ... GLORIA!!! *nightmare* the glass breaks, and all of them fell to the casino, and everything turned to chaos.

The casino security guard then decided to call Monaco animal control, named Captain Chantel Dubois, and that's when their nightmare started. A nightmare? Yes, because Captain Dubois (Frances McDormand) is the collector of the animals head that she caught, and she still missed one head. Lion's head. That means, it's a super duper nightmare for Alex!

This is when their journey started ...
Will they succeed in going back to New York?

...

I really love this Madagascar movie, compare to previous one.
Actually I didn't really want to watch it, but as many of my friends saying that this movie is really fun, and has many good messages, so I watch it.

And yesss ... they're right!!

In the beginning, this movie gives you fun, and laugh especially when Dubois chased them ... Then in the middle, the movie went to more drama mode and gives touchy feeling, and the last part gives you the excitement!

I watched the 2D version, but I guess that's enough to enjoy the movie.

So don't miss the movie, and enjoy it ;)

Synopsis/review: 21 Jump Street

Schmidt (Jonah Hill) was a nerd in the high school, while Jenko (Channing Tatum) was a more of popular guy in the school,  but he was not as smart as Schmidt. In the school, Jenko really liked to bully Schmidt, and show that he has more power than he's.

In the next few years, Schmidt met Jenko once again, but in the different situation and place. They're in the same police academy. Just like in high school, Jenko has more capability in physical exercise, while Schmidt showed that he could have great score in written test.

So Jenko asked Schmidt whether he wanted to be his friend and helped each other or not. Schmidt agreed, and they helped each other so they could graduate together.

After their graduation, they thought they're going to do some chasing, or some explosion ... But they're wrong. They were assigned to be the police parks with bicycles.

One day, they saw a motorcycle gangster in the park. This gangster was famous because of their drug activity.

Jenko and Schmidt had the initiative to catch them, because they think, this going to be their break for their police career.

Well they caught one of the guys, but they forgot one thing. The Miranda Rights. The police didn't have any chance to keep that guy in jail, so they release him.

Because of this, they were moved to 21 Jump Street, where there's a revived division.

This division was used to infiltrate the case in the high school. The people in this division usually has a young appearance.

For their first assignment here, Jenko and Schmidt were assigned to find the drug dealer in one of the high school. They were acted as brothers. Jenko went to the social class, while Schmidt join the science class. It's all okay, until Jenko mixed up the class where he went to the science class while Schmidt to the social class.

Then they found out that one of the student, Eric (Dave Franco) was the drug dealer in that high school.

So how they're going to find out who's the supplier?

...

I have watched the trailer some time ago, and I knew that this is a comedy movie, but what I don't know was that the movie could make me to ROTFLOL (Roll On The Floor Laughing Out Loud), well ... ok ... I didn't roll on the floor, but I still laughed in the entire movie.

The story line was okay, but that doesn't make me not to give a high recommendation for this movie.

I didn't know that Tatum could play in a comedy movie, but he could blend well with Hill :)

Watch this movie if you want to ROTFLOL :D

Synopsis/Review: Battleship

With the advanced technology that NASA has, they found a planet that similar to earth, named Planet G, and decided to communicate with it. So they sent a signal to the planet, hoping they would return the signal to communicate with NASA.

Instead of getting a signal as a reply for their first signal, earth got a reply of 5 alien ships!

One of the ship, believed to be a communication ship, hit a satellite and was destroyed to pieces, while the other 4 'landed' at the pacific ocean near Hawaii.

At that time, there's a RIMPAC event. RIMPAC is the world largest international maritime exercise that is hosted by the United States in Hawaii. Many countries joined the exercise, including Japan.

When the 4 ships hit the ocean, Alex Hopper (Taylort Kitsch), Stone Hopper (Alexander Skarsgard), and Nagata (Tadanobu Asano), where each of them captained one battleship, were doing the exercise nearby that area.

Alex Hopper, Raikes (Rihanna), and another Navy soldier was instructed to check the alien ships.

When Hopper approached the ship, the alien ships suddenly beamed laser and covered the area around them. The area included the 3 battleship that were captained by the Hoppers brother and Nagata, plus some islands that has some antennas that was used to transmit the signal to Planet G.

With the laser covered the area, the 3 battleships were separated with the main ships armada that was led by Admiral Shane (Liam Neeson). They couldn't contact anyone beyond the area.

From the here, the battle between the 3 battleships and the alien ships begun ...

The Battle Begins at Sea ...

...

In the trailer, it said about Hasbro, the company that brought you Transformer. Hasbro is a toy company, and perhaps you remember the game Battleship. I like to play this game many years ago ... It's like I have one board that has a coordinate. And then I put my ships in random coordinates, and my opponent does the same thing. To attack, I just say some coordinate, and if my opponent's ship is in the coordinate that I said, then it will lose one life (depends how long is the ships). So this movie was based in this game! Interesting!

I really love this kind of movie, the human race VS the alien race, where the alien has bigger and more sophisticated gun, while we only have regular gun. I love to see, how the human with its limitation try to survive and attack the alien.

Although there are a lot of movies with similar theme, but I still see Battleship as a great movie to watch! I watch this because of the cool factor, not the story :) and I was expecting this movie when I first watched the trailer, even when I didn't realize that Rihanna is also in the movie :D

Btw, I read somewhere telling that there's an after credit! I missed it :(. So if you want ... sit tight until the end :)

So have fun, and enjoy the movie.
